Emergency Wildlife Calls: What to Expect
Not every wildlife call is an emergency, but when it is, here is what actually happens after you call.
What counts as an emergency
An animal inside living space, a venomous snake near people or pets, an animal that appears sick, aggressive, or trapped somewhere dangerous, or an active situation actively getting worse (an animal breaking further into a structure).
What happens after you call
We assess over the phone first: what animal, where, and how urgent. Same-day dispatch is available for genuine emergencies. For non-urgent issues, we schedule the next available inspection rather than treating every call as urgent.
What to do while you wait
Keep people and pets away from the area, do not attempt to handle or trap the animal yourself, and if it is a venomous snake, keep a safe distance and do not try to identify it up close.
